Description
Composite hose made from polyester fabrics and films with an aromatic barrier layer, reinforced with internal and external wire helixes.
Principal Applications
Bituflex is suitable for the transfer of bitumen and tar at elevated temperatures, primarily for wand/hand bar applications.
Safety Note
Bitumen is generally handled at elevated temperatures. Medical specialists advise that burns from bitumen usually affect the full thickness of skin, generally requiring a skin graft. Use of suitable personal protective equipment is strongly recommended.

Inner wire : Galvanised zinc coated mild steel
Lining : Polyamide Fabric/PTFE Film
Outer cover : PVC Coated Terylene Weave Fabric
Colour Code : Red outer fabric cover with White/Yellow Stripe

Manufactured to the specifications where applicable to EN 13765 Type 4
Temperature
Bituflex is suitable for temperatures to +150°C continuous and to +180°C in surges, however, pressure capability ratings would be reduced by 50% when temperatures exceed 100°C.
